RAF UPWOOD

Canberra B Mk2 WH723, was allocated the maintenance serial 7628M and wore ficticious serial WJ642 the markings of No.35Sqn who once flew Canberras from here, she stood guard over Upwood from April 1960 till 1978, she then left by road to Proof and Experimentle Establishment on Foulness Island and was scrapped in December 1990.
RAF WYTON

Canberra B Mk6 RC WT305 ,[one of 3 Canberras on the gate ] the aircraft served for many years with No 51 Sqn in whose markings it was displayed in, she took up gate guard duties in November 1976 and as a part of the one gate guard policy was scrapped in November 1989, although the nose is belived to have been saved in the Derby area?

WH773 PR Mk7 , this aircraft which was the prototype PR7 ended its days with No 13 Sqd at Wyton in whose markings it was displayed in , she stood on the gate from June 1981 to November 1989, she is now displayed at Charlwood - Museum, Surrey

RAF Marham

Canberra PR9, XH169 was put on gate guard duties at Marham on 20th November 2007
RAF Wroughton

Canberra B2 WJ676 guarding RAF Wroughton , this picture was taken in 1984. WJ676 was on guard duties from 1976 till 31st January 1992 when she was cut up and taken away on a trailer. The nose section of WJ676 still survives with a collector from Tyne & Wear. WJ676 had amassed a total of 3105 hours of flying during her life with the RAF.
RAF Cottesmore
Canberra PR7 WH791 was struck off charge with the RAF on the 13th October 1972 and allocated the maintenance seial 8187M then put onto RAF Cottesmore gate. WH791 had been on the gate for 26 years before being auctioned off on the 24th September 1998 and acquired by 81 squadron associates for £2600.....the RAF then dismantled her and transported to Newark air museum where she can be seen today.
